N.E.R.D. Go SpongeBob For 'Squeeze Me' Video
. (Radio.com) N.E.R.D. have followed up on their promise to Variety that they'd be following the Yellow Submarine path with their contribution to the Spongebob Squarepants film sequel soundtrack. On Tuesday (Jan. 27) the guys released the video that accompanies "Squeeze Me," and it's certainly psychedelic. In the animated clip, N.E.R.D. all get the Spongebob treatment and are turned into live-action cartoons in the shape of the titular character. They float around the Krusty Krab, see the sights in Bikini Bottom and even make it into outer space because hey, why not? The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water is out on Feb. 6. In addition to "Squeeze Me," Pharrell and his crew appear on two additional songs written for the soundtrack: the tracks "Patrick Star" and "Sandy Squirrel," both of which are named for major characters in the SpongeBob universe.
