Chris Stapleton Previews Forthcoming Solo Album
. Chart topping country music songwriter Chris Stapleton has released a behind the scenes video for his forthcoming debut solo album, "Traveller," which will be released on May 5th. Stapleton primarily recorded the new album at Nashville's historic RCA Studio A with producer Dave Cobb (Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell). Traveller was recorded by Vance Powell (Jack White). Stapleton had this to say about the album, "This record was made standing on the shoulders of friends, family, and heroes. I hope people enjoy listening to it as much as I've enjoyed making it." While this is his debut solo album, Stapleton is no stranger to the music business having written or co-written over 170 song that have been recorded by stars ranging from Adele, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley and Dierks Bentley to Vince Gill, Peter Frampton and Sheryl Crow. Stapleton has also written five No. 1 hits including "Never Wanted Nothing More" by Kenny Chesney, George Strait's "Love's Gonna Make it Alright" and Luke Bryan's "Drink A Beer". Chris will be promoting the new album by hitting the road with Little Big Town on their Pain Killer Tour in March followed by a series of dates on Eric Church's The Outsiders World Tour in May.
