Sco-Mule (Gov't Mule and John Scofield) Stream New Song
. (The Blues) Sco-Mule, the collaboration between Gov't Mule and John Scofield, have released a stream of the track Tom Thumb. They teamed up in 1999 for two live shows in Georgia and a double album recorded at the gigs will launch on January 26 via Mascot Label Group. The recordings, which have been newly remixed and remastered, were originally due to be released after Gov't Mule's Life Before Insanity in 2000 but plans were shelved following the death of bassist Allen Woody the same year. Now the album will launch later this month on 2CD, double 180g vinyl and on digital formats and features original tracks, James Brown covers and songs by John Coltrane and Wayne Shorter. It's currently available to pre-order with those purchasing early receiving three bonus tracks. Sco-Mule have lined up a 12-date US tour which starts in Seattle on February 18. Check out song here.
