Mariah Carey Launching Las Vegas Residency
. (Radio.com) Mariah Carey will be taking on Las Vegas. The singer has just announced a residency at Caesars Palace, her first in the Nevada city. Carey revealed the news on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which airrf today (Jan. 15). "I'm going to do my first ever residency in Vegas at Caesars. This is a special event for me," she said, appearing on the show in a low-cut blue dress. "And again, I have to hope that the fans will enjoy this, 'cause I'm gonna be performing, which was kind of inspired by my album Number 1's, and this is now the updated version with 18 of them. Hopefully other people will enjoy this. I've never done this before." During the Ellen show, Carey surprises her fans dressed as a maid at a Vegas hotel to announce her residency.
