Morrissey Wins Literary Review's 'Bad Sex In Fiction' Award (Top Story)
. The former Smith's frontman was not on hand to receive the award, which is given to an "outstandingly bad scene of sexual description in an otherwise good novel," at a gala on Tuesday (Dec. 1) in London. Moz was given the award for his first novel, List of the Lost. The judges at Literary Review cited a scene in the book where a couple "rolled together into one giggling snowball of full-figured copulation" and "playfully bit and pulled at each other in a dangerous and clamorous rollercoaster coil of sexually violent rotation." The "Bad Sex in Fiction" award has been handed out for 23 straight years and has gone to some prestigious writers including Tom Wolfe and Norman Mailer. Read more - here.
