(hennemusic) Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band performed on Saturday Night Live's final episode of 2015 this weekend where they were joined by Beatles legend Paul McCartney and video of the appearance has been posted online.

On hand to promote "The Ties That Bind: The River Collection", a newly-issued 7-disc box set marking the 35th anniversary of the 1980 double-album, the New Jersey rocker delivered the previously unreleased tune "Meet Me In The City" and "The Ties That Bind" before closing out the show with "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" - with the help of the SNL cast and special guest Paul McCartney.

The package presents the original record alongside "The River: Single Album" - originally named "The Ties That Bind" - a 10-track album that Springsteen recorded in 1979 as a follow up to 1978's "Darkness On The Edge Of Town" but never released.

The 4CD/3DVD set also includes 22 outtakes from the studio sessions alongside an hour-long documentary/interview and a legendary 1980 concert filmed at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.

Springsteen will perform the double-album in its entirety during a nine-week North American tour that begins January 16 in Pittsburgh, PA. Watch the SNL performances here.
