David Bowie Previews New 'Lazarus' Single
. Available December 18, the song is the only track from the project also featured in the current New York stage production of the same name written by Bowie and Enda Walsh and directed by Ivo Van Hove. Ahead of Friday's release, "Lazarus" will premiere via the UK's BBC and NPR Music in the States on Thursday and - later the same night - be delivered in a feature performance by Michael C. Hall and the musicians from the musical on CBS-TV's The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Bowie recently issued a short film/video for the title track to "Blackstar" the album, which he'll release on his 69th birthday on January 8. The project marks the follow-up to the singer's first album in a decade - 2013's "The Next Day" - which peaked at No. 2 on the US Billboard 200.
