Yelawolf Releases 'Best Friend' Video Featuring Eminem (Recap)

.
On Monday Yelawolf Releases 'Best Friend' Video Featuring Eminem was a top story. Here is the recap: (Radio.com) Yelawolf originally popped up with a measured mix of rap and country-fried singing--he's now moved closer to to the country side of things, while still keeping on to some of his rap edge. His latest song "Best Friend," featuring Eminem, sounds like a direct descendant of Nelly and Tim McGraw's "Over And Over." Guitars twang over loping hip-hop production, the perfect complement to Yelawolf's southern-accented sing-song.

On his verses Yelawolf seems to be exploring religious undertones, talking about a "best friend, a father, son and holy spirit" who has his back when things get tough.

The video doubles down on this theme. We see Yelawolf walking through a field of tall grass, alone, confronting his demons. Then the action switches to two more spiritually resonant locations: a church and a graveyard. Yelawolf leans against a gravestone as a wolf stalks through the misty night.

Eminem shows up in the empty church, spitting two verses full of heart-wrenching vulnerability while pointing at the sky and holding his head in his hands.

"Best Friend" comes off Yelawolf's long-awaited sophomore album Love Story, which hit stores earlier this week. Watch it - here.
