New Billy Ray Cyrus And Kellie Pickler Shows Coming To CMT
. "I play a dysfunctional Elvis impersonator who ends up lying his way into a church out of desperation, to help pay his child support," Cyrus told Rolling Stone Country of his starring role on Still the King. In addition to acting, Cyrus will also executive produce and write for the show. Plus, he'll be drawing from his contacts and bringing on old friends like Randy Travis and Shooter Jennings for cameos. You'll find Travis in the pilot, playing a sheriff, which was filmed before his 2013 stroke. Jennings meanwhile will appear in the house band. Kellie Pickler will also be joining the roster of new CMT shows. The country star will be the focus of a new reality show. Read more here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
