Disney Vs Deadmau5 Over Logo

(Radio.com) In 2012, when Deadmau5 graced the cover of Rolling Stone, the magazine asked him about the similarity between his trademark helmet "to another famous rodent."

His response: "Someone at the Disney patent office fell asleep on that one." Now it seems that they've woken up. As Deadmau5 tweeted Tuesday (Sept. 2), "landed home to some interesting news: looks like Disney officially just filed in opposition of my trademark� lawyer up mickey."

TMZ is reporting that Disney filed documents Tuesday claiming that Deadmau5's logo/helmet is too close to its iconic Mickey Mouse ears. The site reports that Deadmau5 applied for a patent on through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office last year, and that his lawyer Dina LaPolt told them that he has already trademarked his logo in 30 other countries. here.
