CBS Los Angeles reports that the rapper went through a security checkpoint Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 1), where a TSA employee noticed the gun in his carry-on bag.

Too $hort reportedly fled the scene after the gun was discovered, leaving through a exit door sans the gun, carry-on bag or any of his other belongings before he could be detained, Burbank police Sgt. Claudio Losacco said.
