Foo Fighters Sonic Highways Not Likely To Top Taylor Swift

(hennemusic) The Foo Fighters new album, "Sonic Highways", is on track for Top 5 US debut. Billboard reports the project could sell over 190,000 copies in its first week to open at No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 album chart behind Taylor Swift's "1989", which is expected to maintain it's current No. 1 status for a third consecutive week.

The Foo Fighters last album, 2011's "Wasting Light", was its first No. 1, selling 235,000 copies in its opening week. The new Billboard 200's top 10 will be revealed on Wednesday, November 19.

Produced by Butch Vig, "Sonic Highways" was recorded in 8 American cities - Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Seattle and Washington, D.C.
