Pink Floyd's David Gilmour Appears On Jools Holland

(hennemusic) Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour was interviewed on the latest episode of BBC's Later With Jools Holland program. Gilmour was on hand to discuss the band's upcoming album, "The Endless River", including the concept of shorter attention spans in the digital age where people tend to listen to songs as opposed to full albums.

"I'm hoping that we'll cure that a little bit with this record," said Gilmour, "(and have people) get into the groove of listening to something for an hour."

Due November 10 (Nov 11 in North America), the project features material recorded by Gilmour, Rick Wright and Nick Mason during sessions for 1994's "The Division Bell", and serves as the band's tribute to Wright, who died from cancer in 2008 at the age of 65.
