Dave Grohl Slams Recent Trend In Music

(Radio.com) Don't expect to find Dave Grohl cashing in on nostalgia. The Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters frontman is making his feelings about people who do that well known in a recent interview with NME.

In particular, he's not a fan of bands who play an entire classic album cover to cover. "I don't like it when bands do that," he told the UK publication. "It's presumptuous. It's lazy."

As you can guess from that, Grohl will not be heading out on an one-album tour for his band's 20th anniversary. "I mean, I don't mind playing a lot of those old songs just to revisit," he said. "But the best way to celebrate our 20th anniversary isn't to focus on 20 years ago, but to focus on the last 20 years, meaning two years ago and six years ago and eight years ago."

He has a good sense of humor about all of the nostalgia in the air right now, though. As a joke, Grohl even considered re-recording the band's eponymous debut. Read about that here.
