EDM Stars React To SNL Roasting

(Radio.com) Saturday Night Live lampooned dance music culture over the weekend, and stars of the genre loved it. SNL alum Andy Samberg returned to host the long-running comedy show's most recent season finale (May 17) and included a digital short starring fictional EDM DJ "Davvincii," the name an obvious play on "Wake Me Up" producer Avicii.

The clip harshly poked fun at many of EDM's most unflattering stereotypes with Davvincii playing laptop games and frying eggs on the decks in between occasionally pushing buttons while the crowd goes wild ("This is the best day of my life," gushes one such club-goer, played by cast member Bobby Moynihan).

The clip employs a track called "Get Turned Up to Death," a parody of DJ Snake's hit, "Turn Down for What," with both tunes featuring a guest vocal from rapper Lil Jon, who retweeted a slew of positive responses to the video.

But those who might have felt ridiculed after the video didn't spawn any sort of public outcry. Stars of the genre quickly reacted to the clip - and, for the most part, found it hilarious. Read some of their reactions.
