Timbaland Compares New Album To Dr. Dre's Chronic
. "I finally made my Chronic," he recently told Revolt, referencing Dre's 1992 full-length The Chronic, which spawned massive singles including "Nuthin' But a 'G' Thang" and helped introduce Snoop Dogg to the world. "It's a culture thing. It's the truth. It's just about life in general. My life. My personal life, and I found myself as an artist and human being and as a man," Timbaland explained about the forthcoming album, which does not yet have a release date. "I found who I am." While the prolific producer is known for mega-star collaboration with such A-list artists as Justin Timberlake, Madonna and Missy Elliott, Timbaland reported that Opera Noir will be primarily feature-free. "Me and my new artist, her name is V. Just me and her. And Cee-Lo. That's it," he said. "When [Opera Noir] comes out and you see the whole package, you'll understand why. You'll see it, and you'll be like, 'Wow, I've never seen nothing like this.'" more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
