(Radio.com) After releasing a flurry of new songs from his upcoming Xscape record, Michael Jackson's camp should be fairly happy and carefree following into the official release of the album late last week.

Instead, another shadow is cast over the King of Pop's legacy. According to The Daily Beast, a man has stepped forward to make the claim that he was sexually abused by Jackson over many years.

The report states that James Safechuck appeared in a Pepsi ad with the singer in 1987 and maintained an association with Jackson in the years that followed.

It's thought that Safechuck added his name to a lawsuit filed by Wade Robson a year ago. Robson initially defended Jackson at his 2005 criminal trial, but later came forward to allege that Jackson forced him to perform sex acts.

Like Robson, Safechuck initially maintained that he had not had any inappropriate dealings with Jackson, despite being named in court documents of the 2005 trial as a potential victim of sexual abuse by the singer. more on this story
