(Radio.com) To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Weezer's self-titled debut - better known as the Blue Album - Flavorwire gathered 11 musicians, including Ween's Aaron Freeman (aka, Gene Ween), Dashboard Confessional's Chris Carrabba and Laura Stevenson for an all-star track-by-track. But, in the midst of Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino's testimonial about the record, she managed to reveal a bit of news - namely that she's written a song for Weezer's upcoming album.

According to Cosentino, she co-wrote a song with frontman Rivers Cuomo that "will hopefully be included on their next album." It's unclear whether this is the same song she talked about in a 2010 interview with L.A. Weekly. In that piece she said the song was called "Go Away" and was a duet between her and Rivers.

"He's such an awesome guy and he definitely made me feel confident and comfortable in the studio," she told Flavorwire. "It was one of those experiences where I couldn't believe I was actually sitting in the same room, writing a song with the dude who wrote 'Buddy Holly.'"

Cosentino previously opened for Weezer and even got a chance to share the stage with them during a show in L.A. where she got to sing "Island in the Sun" with the guy who wrote "Buddy Holly." more on this story
