John Legend Earns His First No. 1
. John Legend's "All of Me" overtakes Pharrell's inescapable track this week for the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100, Billboard reports. It's Legend's first No. 1 song in the U.S.; his previous best was 2008′s top 30 hit "Green Light." Legend's triumph breaks a hold of 10 weeks "Happy" had on the chart. The Despicable Me 2 tune put its chokehold on the competition at a time when the Hot 100′s top 10 broke a record for gridlock, at one point staying exactly the same for three straight weeks a month ago. Of course, that's not to say that "All of Me" jumping to No. 1 is a total breath of fresh air, either; it had been No. 2 for weeks, roadblocked only by "Happy," which falls to No. 2. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
