(hennemusic) Just days after a report that U2 have delaying the release of their new album and world tour to next year in order to return to the studio, an unnamed spokesperson for the band tells The Guardian that their 13th album is still on course for release in 2014.

"U2's album is planned for this year, is still on track and touring plans haven't been confirmed yet," the unnamed band representative tells the Guardian.

Late last week, Billboard reported that that they had confirmation from multiple sources that U2 have delayed the project's release so that they can head back into the studio for new sessions with producers Ryan Tedder (of OneRepublic) and Paul Epworth (of Adele fame), with Danger Mouse remaining onboard as the project's central producer. more on this story
