Symphony Ready For Megadeth Frontman

(hennemusic) Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine will be a featured soloist with the San Diego Symphony next month, and associate conductor Ken-David Masur says he is looking forward to the event.

"This is a completely different kind of concept and experience that is basically being pioneered by this collaboration," Masur tells The Valley News. "We will perform the Roman Carnival overture by Berlioz to set [Mustaine] up as a soloist, and he will come out like all the other great soloists in the world come up on stage, and then we will perform Vivaldi's Four Seasons."

The concert, billed as "Symphony Interrupted", will take place at Copley Symphony Hall in San Diego, California on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. more on this story
