. The tour saw guitarist Jim Root replaced by Christian Martucci so he could focus on writing material for the upcoming Slipknot album. Root and frontman Corey Taylor are now fully committed to working on their main band's sixth album. Slipknot blacked out their website and social media channels at the weekend as they began studio work on what will be their first release since the death of bassist Paul Gray and the firing of drummer Joey Jordison.
