Weezer Drummer Catches a Frisbee While Playing a Song

(Radio.com) Weezer's "Beverly Hills" is known for its simplicity. It's a simple riff, uncomplicated drum beat and features easy-to-remember, earworm-level lyrics - all perhaps the reason why it's still the band's only top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

It's possible that the easygoing nature of the tune lent itself to drummer Patrick Wilson's otherworldly feat at a show over the weekend. Radio.com station WXRT showed off the crazy clip, which features the rockers performing the cut from 2005′s Make Believe in Florida. While frontman Rivers Cuomo concentrates on the task at hand, Wilson is drumming along when, perhaps at the last possible moment, he sees an inbound frisbee coming in his general direction.

But instead of ducking out of the way, or perhaps even taking one for the team, Wilson reaches up and grabs the frisbee with his left hand while the other continues to play. He then makes the executive decision to put the frisbee in his mouth for a bar or two before putting it down.

The crowd goes wild. Cuomo turns around, trying to figure out why on earth folks started screaming for his lyric about house maids being really, really good at their jobs.

The clip was captured from two different angles - one in the crowd, the other above Wilson. Check out video here.
