Neil Patrick Harris Give Sting a Lap Dance at the Tonys

(Radio.com) It went as-expected, honestly - Neil Patrick Harris was performing as Hedwig, the titular character of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, at the Tonys Sunday night. The cast sang "Sugar Daddy," one of the Broadway musical's show-stopping pieces - and along the way, Harris was provocative as one might hope, launching into the audience for some indecent exposure.

Along the way, he performed some lecherous deeds with some of the men in the crowd and stole Samuel L. Jackson's glasses for a brief second. But perhaps the most entertaining was his short bit with Sting, which saw Harris straddle the Police frontman and give him a quick lap dance.

For his part, Sting went with the joke. When Harris decided to sit down on his lap, rather than objecting, he folded his arms behind his head, letting Hedwig do her work before she tore off in search of another victim.

The Tonys were kind to Harris and the cast of Hedwig - and not only in terms of the raucous ovation they received after the performance. The production took home four honors, including one for Harris for the best performance by an actor in a leading role in a musical.
