Randy Travis Appears at Dolly Parton Show in Oklahoma
. The Parton show took place in Thackerville, Okla. this past Saturday, May 31. It was one of only a handful of U.S. dates on her Blue Smoke World Tour. "It was so great to have Randy Travis at my show!" Parton wrote in a note on her Tumblr page. "Randy is one of my good friends and one of my favorite singer/songwriters of all time. He was looking good and doing great!" She posted a photo of the encounter on Twitter as well. Parton got word of Travis' appearance earlier in the evening, and gave him a shout-out during the show. "There are some people you just love and admire for their talents," Parton said from the stage in Oklahoma. "Tonight, one of those people are here. I actually think he is hiding somewhere way back there or dressed up like Kenny Rogers. But anyway, Randy Travis is here. So wherever you are, I hope you are enjoying the show." Travis then came backstage after the show to greet Parton. According to Fricke, who also met with Parton and Travis after the show, he "looked great" and was "up and walking" as well. "Randy was in such great spirits and looked great," the "It Ain't Easy Being Easy" singer said about her encounter with Travis. "To see how happy he was to be at Dolly's show, and up and walking was just wonderful!" More including the photo. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
