Laidlaw says: "I was a member of LIndisfarne from its inception and loved nearly every minute of it. Throughout the 1980s, Billy played in Pacamax, a Lindisfarne offshoot with Alan Hull, Rod and I. Following Alan's tragic death in 1995, he joined the MkIII version of Lindisfarne. He has the inside track until the end of that lineup in 2003."
