Florida Georgia Line Go Into 2014 Feeling Strong
. Their third single, "Round Here" made history earlier this year when they joined Brooks & Dunn as the only two groups in Billboard's Country Airplay chart history, solo, duo, or group, to have their first three singles hit No. 1 for multiple weeks. Thanks to tours with Taylor Swift and Luke Bryan, not to mention a remix of "Cruise" featuring Nelly, the country duo's music has crossed genres and made them one of the most talked about country acts of 2013. "We had some pop stations that were wanting a different version of 'Cruise' that we could send out, and he [Nelly] is a labelmate," Brian Kelley told Radio.com earlier this year. "We heard he was a fan of what we were doing and the song. We knew he wanted to do it, and literally a day or two later we had the track and we cranked it up on the bus." Their second No. 1 hit, "Get Your Shine On," also embodies a feel good vibe Florida Georgia Line are known for. "It's just another one of those special days when you leave the songwriting room and we're all jacked up, playing it in our truck 25 times before we get home," Tyler Hubbard said of writing the song. "Another one of those feel good songs. We came in with the idea of, 'Get Your Shine On.' It fell out of the sky real quick, we wrote it real fast and it's another one of those songs that we're happy to be a part of." In an interview with GAC, Florida Georgia Line said they don't feel any pressure to top the success of 2013. "I think next year we're gonna go in there feeling strong," Hubbard said. "We never really put pressure on ourselves. We just do what we love, write songs that we love, record songs that we love and try to make our live show the best that it can be. And that's just what we do." Having already written a bunch of songs for their sophomore album, the guys plan to hit the studio and the road with Jason Aldean. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
