Katy Perry's 'Dark Horse' Video Protested As Blasphemous
. A new petition on Change.org to remove Perry's video "Dark Horse" has garnered over 63,000 signatures and explains in detail just why her latest video is blasphemous. "At 01:15 into the video Dark Horse; a man is shown being burned, whilst wearing a pendant (also burned) forming the word 'Allah', which is the arabic word for God," the petition states. "Such goes to show, that blasphemy is clearly conveyed in the video, since Katy Perry (who appears to be representing an opposition of God) engulfs the believer and the word God in flames." The petition further states that people from all walks of life and religions are offended. "Using the name of God in an irrelevant and distasteful manner would be considered inappropriate by any religion." Watch Katy Perry's video for "Dark Horse" here.
