(hennemusic) The Tonight Show put The Beatles through a time warp on Monday's program, as host Jimmy Fallon aired never-before-seen footage of the band from The Ed Sullivan Show.

The footage begins with the group finishing their performance of "I Want To Hold Your Hand" on their landmark February 9, 1964 US television debut on the Sullivan show.

The Beatles' first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show is one of the most watched television events ever - with 74 million people tuning in to see the group perform five songs during the variety hour. Watch the video here.
