Tool surprised fans last month when they announced their first string of live shows in the U.S. since the summer of 2012 and now the band have surprised fans again by announcing even more shows.The originally announced run of U.S. dates were set to conclude on March 11th in San Francisco but the band have added a second night at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and added stops in Fresno, Las Vegas, San Diego, Austin, Houston and Phoenix.
As of today the band is expected to kick off the Western U.S. tour dates on March 4th in Spokane, Wa and wrap up the tour on March 27th in Phoenix, Az.
No word yet if they expect to add even more dates to cover other parts of the country and there is still no official word on the progress of the band's new studio album.
The group did announce that they have moved their previously announced Mexico City show from March 18th to a day later on March 19th. The band advised that tickets purchased for the original date will be valid for the date.
Maynard James Keenan will also be pulling double duty at the Festival Cumbre Tajin in Veracruz where he will be performing with Tool and Puscifer.
