Ex-Pussy Riot Members Considering Future in Politics Or Hollywood
. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the women were being interviewed at a German film festival when Tolokonnikov mentioned that they were pondering the possibility of running for seats on Moscow's city parliament later on this year. "We were not in prison for 26 years and unlike Nelson Mandela, I don't think we shall run for president, but the Moscow city government, yes, that's worth a try," Tolonnikova revealed today (Feb. 10) at a press conference during the Cinema for Peace film festival in Berlin, where they appeared alongside Kweku Mandela (grandson of former South African president Nelson Mandela). While they consider a future in Russian politics, the press conference also revealed that the former Pussy Riot-ers are currently weighing offers from Hollywood studios regarding a movie based on their life stories.
