Metallica's Kirk Hammett Guitar Center Video Goes Online
. This weekend in San Francisco, Hammett is launching his first horror convention, Fear FestEvil. The three-day event (February 6-8) at the Regency Ballroom will feature vending, some live music, "Kirk's Crypt" private tours, panels, signings, special guest appearances and more. Musical performances will include Exodus, Carcass, Death Angel and Orchid. Kirk says he will join both Exodus and Death Angel for their encores at the convention; the guitarist was a member of Exodus before joining Metallica in 1983, and produced Death Angel's 1986 demo, "Kill As One."
