Steven Van Zandt and Jimmy Fallon Duet Frank Sinatra Classic
. The pair, backed by the Roots, performed "My Kind of Town" last night. The reason: Van Zandt covers the song, in character, on his Netflix series Lilyhammer, and it is now available as a digital single from Van Zandt's record label, Wicked Cool Records. Additionally, Van Zandt has curated Lilyhammer: The Score, a three-volume digital boxset of music that Van Zandt scored for the film. Van Zandt is not only Lilyhammer's star and music supervisor, he also scored part of the first season and all of seasons two and three of the series--which explains why he missed much of Bruce Springsteen's recent tours (also, Lilyhammer films in Norway). Although Springsteen did give Van Zandt the mic to open the show on April 29, 2013, with a rendition of "My Kind of Town." Watch the Sinatra duet here.
