Jonny Greenwood Revamps Radiohead 'Spooks' For 'Inherent Vice'
. Today brings the first listen to the soundtrack, in the form of a two-and-a-half-minute spacey blues jam featuring narration by Newsom straight out of the script and instrumental work by Supergrass members Gaz Coombes and Danny Goffey. The crew captures the feel of the time in their atmospheric track with softly wailing guitar riffs, sparse percussion and building basslines. It sounds exactly like the kind of record the story's protagonist--stoner-detective Doc Sportello, played by Joaquin Phoenix--would put on. The song was originally revealed in 2006 as a non-album track from Radiohead. Listen here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
