So, news that Bruce Springsteen is co-authoring a forthcoming children's book is both a welcome change and a major departure from his typical lyrical themes.

Apparently, along with co-author Frank Caruso, the book was inspired by one of his songs that is appropriate for all-ages (kind of, anyway), "Outlaw Pete."
