Coldplay's Chris Martin Talks Ghost Stories
. Introducing the song, Martin revealed that the song's open was created by the band's sound engineer Daniel Green. Martin stuck it in as a demo, which he says he often does with Green's synth creations, and it stuck. Martin went on to say, "Actually, my daughter [Apple] is singing in there a little bit as well. That was just an idea of togetherness through life's challenges." After a little more playback, Martin says of the album, "The idea of ghost stories for me was: how do you let the things that happen to you, your ghosts, how do you let them affect your present and your future? Because there was a time when I was feeling like they were going to drag me down and ruin my life, and the lives of those around me." more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
