Willie Nelson Inducted Into Austin City Limits Hall of Fame
. The legendary music show celebrates its 40th season this year and has planned a slate of special events, including the Friday (April 26) induction of Nelson, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, the show's creator Bill Arhos and the late Longhorns football coach Darrell Royal, who was a big ACL supporter. The special, which Austin360 reports was filmed at the show's original home in studio 6A on the University of Texas campus, saw Nelson being inducted by Oscar-winning actor and Austinite Matthew McConaughey. Nelson played songs backed by members of Lyle Lovett's Large Band, with Lovett himself singing a duet on "Funny How Time Slips Away". He was also joined on stage by Emmylou Harris for a duet of "Crazy." more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
