'It Takes Two' Hitmaker DJ E-Z Rock Dead at 46
. The cause of death has yet to be reported. E-Z Rock, whose real name was Rodney Bryce, was 46. On Sunday, Rob Base posted a brief message on his Instagram account, "R.I.P Skip (DJ E-Z Rock) my friend. My brother." The duo enjoyed a huge crossover hit with "It Takes Two" in 1988, which propelled their album of the same name to platinum status. A No. 3 hit on the Billboard Hot Dance/Club charts that year, it has the perhaps more prestigious honor of being included on Questlove's list of the the "Top 50 Hip-Hop Songs of All Time" (it was No. 15).
