Dolly Parton Defends Miley Cyrus
. "She knows what she's doing," Parton writes. "She was very proud of the work she did as Hannah Montana, but people were gonna leave her there forever. And she was just smotherin' and chokin' in it. So she felt she had to do something completely drastic. And she did. She made her point, she made her mark, and more power to her." Parton went on to praise Cyrus' songwriting talent and singing ability. "The girl is smart. And she doesn't have to be so drastic. But I will respect her choices. I did it my way, so why can't she do it her way?" she adds. As Parton gears up for her forthcoming album Blue Smoke and before her live performance on QVC on Sunday (April 27), she will be conducting a live chat on Twitter. Fans can tweet the country legend their questions @DollyParton with the #AskDolly on April 27 starting at 4 p.m. CT. more on this story Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
