In the video, we see Swift set up the surprise by showing the wedding invitation she received from a woman named Gena Gabrielle, whom she explains is a longtime fan ("she's been coming to my shows for years" and is "really, really dedicated"). Swift couldn't make the wedding, but there was also an invite included for Gena's bridal shower - which Swift decided she can attend.
