Nirvana To Perform With Kurt Cobain Hologram Hoax
. As the members of Nirvana were getting ready to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Thursday, the satirical website National Report published a story earlier this week that claimed that the band planned to hit the road this summer using a hologram of Cobain. The report is a fake, just like all of the satirical articles on National Report, but that didn't stop some media outlets from picking up the story as legitimate and running their own reports. The National Report article went so far as to include the following fake quote from Dave Grohl, "We're doing this for the fans, pure and simple. It's been twenty years since the original Nirvana lineup has played together. It's going to be an honor to once again share the stage with Kobain. Lots of fond memories. I can't wait." This isn't the first time that speculation that Nirvana could use a hologram of Cobain has surfaced. Back in April of 2012 Loudwire had a report about the possibility of it happening and there were rumors that the band and a holographic Cobain would appear at last year's Coachella festival.
