LeBron James Raps Over A Jay-Z Beat?

(Radio.com) There's really no question that LeBron James is the best basketball player in the world today. If a recently released recording of James rocking the microphone over a Jay Z beat is to be believed, he's looking to expand his horizons and make an impact in the world of hip-hop as well.

The word is that James and longtime friend/rapper Sian Cotton posted up in an Ohio recording studio to record a remix of Jay Z's track "F***WithMeYouKnowIGotIt," found on the rapper's latest album, Magna Carter Holy Grail.

"We were working out together and LeBron said 'let's get in the booth," Cotton said (via Sports Illustrated). "I said 'I'm going tonight', so he came to the studio."

If the remix (entitled "Kingdom") is indeed by James (it is April Fool's Day, after all), he wouldn't be the worst professional basketball player to take a shot at hip-hop (he's at least on par with Kevin Durant, his closest competition in the NBA). But actual rappers like Nas and Freddie Gibbs certainly won't be looking over their shoulders for him, either. more on this story
