Capital Cities' New Video Features Glee and Raising Hope Stars
. The very '80s-styled video heavy with allusions to George Orwell's book Animal Farm follows the sad tale of a zebra looking for love at the local animal nightclub, where zebras are effectively banned. When the zebra takes some rather drastic measures to make his way inside, he finds his efforts to court a cute poodle (played by Raising Hope actress Shannon Woodward) thwarted by her poker-playing dog boyfriend, portrayed by Glee star, Darren Criss. The "Kangaroo Court" clip follows Capital Cities' acclaimed video for breakout single "Safe and Sound," which walked away with the Best Visual Effects award at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. Capital Cities return from a European tour for a new string of dates in the U.S. and Mexico starting the weekend of September 21-22, when they perform at the Midtown Music 2013 festival in Atlanta, GA. The band will also be playing alongside the Killers, Imagine Dragons, Beck and many more at the Life is Beautiful Festival 2013, scheduled for the weekend of October 26-27 in Las Vegas, NV.
