Chris Brown Assault Charge Reduced
. Upon further investigation, the charges against Brown and his bodyguard/friend Christopher Hollosy have been reduced by the D.C. Superior Court from felony to misdemeanor, according to the Washington Post. Brown's lawyer, Danny Onorato, said that he's "confident Mr. Brown will be exonerated. Chris Brown committed no crime. We understand his security acted to protect Mr. Brown and his property, which he was authorized to do." Both Brown and Hollosy were released from custody Monday evening (Oct. 28), with the maximum penalty for the reduced misdemeanor charge being 180 days in jail and a $1,000 fine.
