Iommi Wishes Former Sabbath Bandmate Bill Ward Speedy Recovery

(hennemusic) Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has posted best wishes to the band's original drummer Bill Ward who recently underwent surgery for a perforated diverticulitis.

"Sorry to hear you've been unwell, hope you make a speedy recovery," wrote Iommi in a new online posting. He is currently on tour with Black Sabbath in South America.

Ward's surgery in California was successful, and he is expected to make a full recovery over the next several weeks. The drummer was forced to postpone his "Absence Of Corners" reception at the Annapolis Collection Gallery in Maryland on October 26. more on this story
