Great White Pay Tribute To Lorne Black
. The band had this to say about Black, "Lorne was a big part of Great White in our early years. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a true bass player to the core!! He was a fan of great bass players and acted as a student of bass, always paying close attention to the best in the business. He had a Paul McCartney sensibility in that, instead of just following a guitar line, he played a song within the song. "Listen to the bass in 'Rock Me', that is a great example of Lorne's God given talent, and contribution to a song. He was always fun to be around and we are really going to miss him:. He had many fans around the world, that will also miss him!! Lorne is gone, but his memory will live on!! Rest in peace brother... Great White." Black's funeral is scheduled to take place this Friday, October 4th, at Murietta Valley Funeral Home from 9 - 10:30 AM. The facility is located at 24651 Washington Ave. in Murietta, CA.
