UFO Legend Pete Way Becomes Cancer Ambassador

. (Classic Rock) Pete Way has become an ambassador for Prostate Cancer UK charity after revealing he's suffering from the disease himself. The ex-UFO bassist has put plans for the release of solo album Walking On The Edge on hold while he receives treatment.

But he was shocked to discover that prostate cancer kills nearly as many men as breast cancer does women � and he's decided to take action to raise awareness in the hope of turning the tide.

"I'm not too bad in the circumstances. I can't complain," Way tells Bloodstock Radio's Rich Davenport. "It surprised me that one man every hour dies of it. By 2030 it'll be the biggest cancer. But its standing isn't as high as other cancers." more on this story
