Lou Reed Public Memorial Details
. According to his Facebook page, the memorial will be held today from 1:00-4:00 p.m. EST at The Paul Milstein Pool & Terrace at Lincoln Center. "A gathering open to the public no speeches. No live performances, just Lou's voice, guitar music & songs playing the recordings selected by his family and friends," the page states. Reed's final interview recently surfaced online. On Sept. 21, he was in New York for a photo shoot for Parrot Zik headphones when film director Farida Khelfa sat down with Reed to discuss music and the origin of sound, among other topics. When asked why he chose to pursue music, Reed simply said that he loves it. "You do what you love or you get arrested," he said. Watch here. Radio.com is an official news provider for antiMusic.com.
