A$AP Rocky Gets Cinematic With The Wire's Michael K. Williams

. (Radio.com) For his latest music video, Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky has recruited actor Michael K. Williams (best known for his work on HBO series The Wire and Boardwalk Empire) and model Joan Smalls to star in the cinematic clip for his latest single, "Phoenix."

The glossy and dramatic music video is a highly stylized affair that depicts Williams and Smalls as a couple embroiled in an epic, house-destroying battle interspersed with shots of Rocky rapping the minimal and moody track in a fashionable wide-brimmed hat and red sweater.

The video also boasts some behind the scenes star power, with the clip's story being co-written by Asia Argento, an actress best known Stateside for starring alongside Vin Diesel in the 2002 action flick, xXx. more on this story
