Aerosmith To Headline Download Festival

(Classic Rock) Aerosmith have been named as the third and final headline act for next year's Download Festival, with Alter Bridge named as main support. Steven Tyler and co will close the 2014 Donington extravaganza on Sunday June 15, after headline slots from Avenged Sevenfold on Friday, June 13 and Linkin Park on Saturday, June 14.

It's Aerosmith's first UK show since they headlined Download in 2010 � a triumphant return after a difficult year in which they'd nearly fired Tyler. Guitarist Joe Perry says: "It's been too long seance we've been to England and we're sincerely f**king charged to be coming back!"

Rob Zombie has been confirmed as main support on Friday, with Fall Out Boy playing the same role the next night. Linkin Park will deliver classic album Hybrid Theory in full during their top-billing appearance. more on this story
